The registration is the best and most simple way to protect a mark!

The owner of a mark may choose among the following possibilities and already with the first registration , future markets should be taken into consideration:

• national registration in the native country (i.e. Germany, U.S.A., Japan)

• european registration (community trademark) in Alicante, Spain, at the OHIM "Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market" (25 countries)

• international registration, based on the national registration, according to the Madrid Agreement (54 countries) or according to the Madrid Protocol (62 countries)
